The image you've saved is where the conversation begins. A beautiful cut is shaped around your hair's natural texture, your features and the way you like to wear it. We'll take the time to understand all three before the scissors come out.
From a subtle refresh to a complete restyle, we create sleek bobs, soft layers, statement fringes and beautifully shaped short cuts. Every appointment begins with a consultation and ends with a polished blow-dry, so you can see how your cut falls and feel confident styling it at home. You can also book a blow-dry on its own for an occasion or simply because you'd like to feel your best.
Cutting and finishing are part of the craft at ELM Hair & Beauty in Wrexham. Emma, who founded ELM in 2015, and Linda both specialise in short cuts. Linda is also our blow-dry specialist, known for creating a beautiful finish. Whatever your age, hair length or starting point, we'll help you find a look that feels entirely yours.

How It Works
Your consultation
We'll begin by looking at your hair as you wear it, taking time to understand what you love, what you'd like to change and any inspiration you've saved. Together, we'll agree on the shape and finish before we begin cutting. If you're considering a significant change, we'll offer thoughtful, honest advice on what will work beautifully for you.
Your cut and finish
Your appointment begins with a relaxing wash and condition at the basin. We'll then shape your hair with care, refining the cut as it dries so it falls beautifully when you style it at home.
A cut and finish usually takes around an hour. Please allow a little longer for a restyle.
The finishing touches
We'll complete your look with a beautiful blow-dry, then show you how to recreate the style at home using the tools and products you already have. Before you leave, we'll recommend when to return to keep your style looking its best.

Every cut ends with a proper blow dry, and Linda, our finishing specialist, is here for blow drys and styling on their own too.

I had such a lovely experience at ELM Hair & Beauty having my CAST hair extensions fitted by Emma. Emma knew I’d had a really disappointing experience previously with Viola extensions, so she had the added job of removing my old bonds before fitting the new hair. It depends on the length of your hair and whether it's a cut and finish, a restyle or just a fringe trim, so we confirm the price when you book. Give us a call on 01978 263590 and tell us what you're after and we'll let you know straight away.
Yes. Every cut and finish ends with a proper blow dry so you can see how it sits and how to style it. If you'd like waves or extra volume rather than a smooth finish, just say.
For most people every 6 to 8 weeks keeps the shape and the ends healthy. Short cuts and fringes need doing more often, long hair can stretch to 10 or 12 weeks. We'll tell you what suits your cut when you're in.
No, we'll wash it here. If anything, come with it as you'd normally wear it so we can see how it falls before we start. If your scalp is dry, sensitive or you have psoriasis, tell us when you book and see our scalp care page.
Yes. Blow drys are a proper appointment here, not an add-on. Linda is our blow dry and finishing specialist, and you can book smooth, waves or volume for a night out or an occasion.
Yes, everyone is welcome at ELM whatever their age or hair length. Just let us know when you book so we allow the right amount of time.
