Your scalp deserves the same care and attention as your hair. Whether you're experiencing dryness, sensitivity, flaking or psoriasis, we offer a calm, considered space to talk about it without feeling self-conscious.
Your appointment begins with a personal consultation. Using our NioScope, we can show you a magnified view of your scalp and talk through what you're seeing together. We'll ask how your scalp feels, what you currently use and what you'd like from your visit before recommending a haircare routine suited to you.
If you have scalp psoriasis, every step of your appointment is approached with care. We'll be gentle when washing, brushing and styling, and adapt the service to how your scalp feels that day. We won't scrub or force away any scales.
You're welcome at ELM exactly as you are, including on the days when your scalp feels less than its best. Let us know when you book, and we'll make time to understand what you need.

How a Scalp Consultation Works
Your consultation
We start with a conversation, not a treatment. Using the NioScope, we'll show you a magnified view of your scalp and talk through what we're both seeing. We'll ask how it feels, what you use at home and what you'd like from your visit.
Your appointment
Everything is adapted to how your scalp feels on the day. We'll be gentle when we wash, brush and style, and we won't scrub or force away any scales. If something feels uncomfortable, tell us and we'll change how we work.
Your routine
Before you leave, we'll recommend a haircare routine suited to your scalp, with products chosen for you rather than a standard list. We'll also suggest when a follow-up look would be useful.

Yes. Dryness, sensitivity, itching, flaking and dandruff are all welcome. The NioScope consultation works the same way for any scalp: we look together, talk about what you use at home, and recommend a haircare routine suited to your scalp.
No. The NioScope gives us a magnified view so we can talk about what we're seeing together, but it cannot diagnose psoriasis or any other condition. A GP or pharmacist can advise you on medical treatment.
